Homeopathy in childbirth

Just as every baby is an individual, every labour a woman experiences is unique, which is why homeopathy is particulaly suited for childbirth

How can homeopathy help during the birth

Homeopathy can help in all stages of childbirth, assisting and supporting. It can help in situations when often there is no medical alternative, for example anxiety and exhaustion. It can also be helpful with problems such as a cervix which is slow to dilate, pain, retained placenta and other difficulties which could arise.

Homeopathy can also be used in the postnatal period to aid recovery, baby blues, breastfeeding and other problems. During childbirth, remedies can be prescribed by yourself or your partner.

Is homeopathy safe?

Homeopathy is a well established holistic system of medicine, used increasingly in the NHS. It is safe for both mother and baby.

Where can I learn more about using homeopathy in childbirth?

Professional homeopaths, Niamh Hynes and Alyson Larkworthy, hold regular 2 1/4 hour classes, where you will learn about homeopathic remedies which may prove invaluable during the birth and postnatal period.

What does it cost?

Classes cost £20 per couple or £15 per individual. It is strongly advised that your partner/birthing partner attends as their help is needed in givin the remedies. Homeopathic kits, individual remedies and books will be made available to buy.
